The 8 day duration spring movement with platform cylinder escapement.
Striking the hours and half hours on a bell and repeating at will. The Corniche style case with engraved floral decoration, bevelled glass to four sides and rectangular inspection glass to the top, surmounted by a handle with the center collars engraved. The white enamel dial with Roman Numerals and Arabic five minutes markers, blued steel hands and center seconds above subsidiary alarm disc in Arabic numerals. The movement is an excellent example of Dejardin's work with striking mechanism visibly set on the back plate and the alarm barrel set to the lower left corner. Makers mark engraved on the back plate and numbered 5113.

The gilt brass oval case with delicate scroll engraving to all surfaces including handle. Standing on an oval giltwood base with velvet covering and bun feet. Bevelled glass to all sides and oval sight glass to top.
