Great Wheel Clock
stock no. xyz

This Great Wheel clock runs a complete month for each single winding it receives. Its mainspring is housed within a barrel, independently mounted on the base (choice of stone or fine Mahogany) and drives the clock fusee. The solid sterling silver dial of the Great Wheel clock soothes the eye, while it also serves to balance the three hundred tooth great wheel.

The sculpted brass plates of this clock are a sturdy 0.25inch thick, and along with all other visible brass pieces are finished in fine gold plating.

The fusee remains the heart of the Great Wheel clock. Energy that drives the clock one month is transmitted from the mainspring to its fusee via a traditional and custom prepared chain.

The winding square can be seen protruding just under the clock dial.

A skeleton dial allows viewing of the clock wheels, and also houses a Mother of Pearl moon dial. All sixty teeth of the Deadbeat escape wheel are clearly seen behind the seconds display ring.

All screws used in the construction of this clock are polished and heat-treated to a radiant blue, as are the hands of this clock. The minute as well as seconds hands are flawlessly balanced so as to negate any effect of gravity on the clocks performance. Pure sapphire is deployed to jewel the escape wheel and pallet pivots.

The unusual beat (level) setting (rear view) is accomplished via an asymmetrical crutch, with its setting screw being hardened, polished and finally blued.

True seconds are permitted on the Great Wheel clock dial thanks to a sixty-tooth escape wheel and half seconds pendulum.
