17th May 2016 The Platinum Watch (Read More)

Before creating complex clocks in line with Janvier and Breguet, I first received my training and worked with complicated watches. I have always wanted to hand make my own watch and after many years of research, development and aesthetic refinement, I’ve already started bringing it to life.

With .925 platinum plates, unique in the business, “The Platinum” watch movement layout is completely original and was designed to prominently showcase the escapement and large balance wheel. The sharp corners of the plates highlight the beveling and extremely refined high level of hand finishing.

The silver engine turned dial shows two different patterns and the seconds hand reveals a unique layout. Notice the subtle, yet unusual toothing on the dial ring. As part of the motif, the watch uses the fire blued Walter-style hands, a characteristic of the Walter horological

DNA and first seen on my clocks.

The quietly understated “The Platinum” watch will come in a 41mm .925 platinum case with the signature look of a specially reeded edge. A domed sapphire crystal and a display back finish off the piece. “The Platinum” watch comes presented in it’s own specially custom made wooden box.

With this watch I’m a candidate for the AHCI with Vianney Halter and Matthias Naeschke as my sponsors.

Several David Walter “The Platinum” watches have been commissioned and sold, and I’m now accepting orders for more pieces.

Please don’t hesitate to contact me should you require any more details.

The finalized drawings are attached for you to view.
